Do You Have Any Questions?

When things are running smoothly it’s easy to overlook common maintenance chores and rationalize that it’s not worth the time to regularly inspect and replace parts. But nothing could be farther from the truth. The reality is that most facilities have several pumps performing a variety of functions that are integral to the successful operation of the plant. If a pump malfunctions it can be the cause of an entire plant shut down.

Technical manuals with specifications like tolerance and pressures are important tools for troubleshooting hard-to-fix problems.
General shop tools and a range of wrenches, sockets and screwdrivers are also helpful in pump repair. Packing pullers, grease guns and the proper lubricants save time and money.

A booster pump is a device that increases low water pressure and flow. It provides the extra boost needed to bring your water pressure to the desired level. A water booster pump provides pressure to move water from a storage tank or throughout a whole house or commercial facility.

A mechanical seal is a device that helps join systems and mechanisms together by preventing leakage (e.g. in a pumping system), containing pressure, or excluding contamination. The effectiveness of a seal is dependent on adhesion in the case of sealants and compression in the case of gaskets.,

Before you can select a pump that will fit your needs, you must know four things: 1) the total head or pressure against which it must operate, 2) the desired flow rate, 3) the suction lift, and 4) characteristics of the fluid.

Plunger pumps are better suited to high pressures of up to 483 bar (7000 psi) and are highly versatile with optional manifolds of forged brass, nickel aluminum bronze and 316 stainless steel. Plunger pumps put out significantly greater pressure than piston pumps.

A positive displacement pump emits a given volume of fluid for each revolution of the motor. Bellows, double-diaphragm, flexible impeller, gear, oscillating, piston, progressing cavity, rotary lobe, rotary vane, and peristaltic pumps are all positive displacement pumps.
